GothAM | Handmade Mini Photo Zine
Gotham Motif, 2011–2014
Leaning into the nickname given to New York by Washington Irving, I wanted to pay tribute to stories told in still life and in the shadows. These pictures bend toward the surreal and the absurd, hiding in plain sight amid the city’s constant play of contradiction.
Each 16-page zine is printed on archival matte photo paper and hand-stitched with lightly-waxed linen thread—assembled start to finish in my Washington Heights studio.
