Reflections on Exhibiting at the Jersey Art Book Fair

I wanted to take a shot of Mana Contemporary as we were leaving its parking lot last night. What actually got recorded closely represents the blur of the days before and during Jersey Art Book Fair by Dense Magazine and hosted by Mana Contemporary and Monira Foundation.
An art book fair’s success comes from how you feel in the days that follow. I feel tired, sure, but creatively fulfilled. The visitors who engaged with me and my work, my wonderful neighbors, and the small team that brought this big event to life—all made my debut as an exhibitor memorable.
The biggest disadvantage of being an exhibitor is not getting to check out all the incredible work at the show. I’d never make it back to my table if I went exploring the Zones.
I’m spending the next few days adding all the new works I showcased at the fair to my online shop. If you’d like to stay updated on future releases and get a peek behind the scenes, please sign up for my newsletter.
p.s. I wish I’d taken a lot more pictures with my camera. But the memories of notable moments in my head come with sound…and smell (an inside joke only some fellow exhibitors will get.)
