Three Birthday Gifts
Birthday gifts highlights…
No. 1 continues a tradition born in the pandemic—marking each year with a new musical instrument, whether gifted or self-gifted. I’ve never played the ukulele beyond the occasional strum at a guitar store. To note the “momentous” occasion of finally owning one, I composed a short melody titled Parade of Planets—the Universe’s birthday gift to me.
